ARMORY:SEALs Standard Weapon Loadout
M16 Automatic Rifle
5.56x45mm rounds, capable of 600-940 rounds a minute. The standard rifle of the US Armed forces and many others world wide. The M-16 first saw wide-spread use in the Vietnam War, where it had some initial teething problems, but by and large it is considered a reliable weapon today. It's chief drawback is that the 5.56 round is very light which can cause accuracy problems at long distances but also can lead to poor penetration of armored targets
